TorqueBid: Mechanic Estimates

TorqueBid is a mobile mechanic estimate app for driveway, roadside, and parking-lot repair. Build line-item auto repair quotes with parts, labor, diagnostic time, and trip fees—then share a branded PDF estimate before you turn a wrench.

Built for traveling mechanics and solo mobile shops who need an on-site service writer, not desktop shop software. Quotes, vehicle details, appointments, and drafts stay on your phone. No TorqueBid account required. Works offline when the signal drops. Unlike the broad invoice generation apps that try to serve every trade, we focus on you and your line of work. As opposed to the web-based jack of all trades, master of none, generic AI generated apps (e.g. WrenchBid) that requires you to have Wi-Fi, we strive to help you grow and build.

LINE-ITEM DRIVEWAY ESTIMATES
• Add hours, jobs, parts, and diagnostic units with live subtotal, tax, and total
• Move jobs through draft → sent → accepted / rejected
• Keep unfinished quote drafts when you switch tabs
• Optional deposit and “valid until” date on every estimate

VEHICLE CONTEXT & ENGINE-BAY PHOTOS
• Capture year, make, model, mileage, and VIN on the quote
• Attach engine-bay or damage reference photos from camera or gallery
• Tag mobile services (diagnostic, brakes, battery, roadside) and schedule notes
• Reuse past clients and vehicles from on-device history when you quote again

FIELD TOOLS THAT ADD TO THE QUOTE
• Diagnostic time — symptom presets × complexity → suggested diag hours
• Parts + markup — cost, markup %, quantity → sell price line item
• Labor estimator — job presets × hours × your hourly rate
• Trip / call-out — flat fee plus per-mile helper for mobile dispatch

BRANDED PDF ESTIMATES
• Generate a customer-facing PDF with shop name, logo, contact, vehicle, line items, photos, payment types, and totals
• Choose PDF themes: Canopy, Invoice, or Simple
• Share via the Android share sheet (email, messages, drive, and more)
• Premium: hide shop rates or show a single package price on the customer PDF

JOB CALENDAR & LOCAL REMINDERS

OFFLINE-FIRST PRIVACY

• Quote and schedule without a TorqueBid login or cloud account
• Camera and notifications are optional and only used when you turn them on

TORQUEBID PREMIUM
