Kayah Dictionary offline

Kayah Dictionary Offline is a free English, Kayah Li (Karenni), and Burmese dictionary for learners, speakers, teachers, and anyone who reads or writes Kayah Li. Look up a word in English, Kayah Li script, or Burmese, see the part of speech, and read example sentences when they are available. Save the words you want to study again. After the first download, search and your saved words work with no internet.
The word list is written in the Kayah Li script used by Karenni communities in Kayah State, Shan State, and along the Thailand–Myanmar border. Entries now include Burmese alongside English and Kayah Li, covering everyday words, school and work vocabulary, and longer example phrases, so you can check meaning and usage across all three languages in one place.

Menu
Open the Menu for the tools you use most:
• Save words — keep words on your phone so you can review them without searching again
• Update data — download the latest dictionary and replace the copy on your phone
• Themes — switch among seven themes to change how the dictionary looks

Works offline
The first time you open the app, it needs internet once. It downloads the dictionary and saves it on your phone. After that, search and saved words do not need a connection. When you are online, open the Menu and tap Update data to refresh the word list. If the download fails, the words already on your phone stay, including the words you saved, so you are not left with an empty dictionary.

Kayah Li Dictionary Offline does not need an account. It does not sell your searches. It is a reading and lookup tool, not a machine translator. Meanings follow the current word list and may be revised as entries are corrected or expanded.
