Chord and Fret

The whole fretboard of the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, cavaquinho and ukulele, with the sound of every shape. That's 492 chords, 57 scales and 218,399 voicings and inversions mapped across the four instruments and 16 tunings.

The same app holds a tuner, a metronome, a circle of fifths, ear training and a notebook for your chord charts. All of it works offline, and the app has no ads.

CHORDS YOU HEAR BEFORE YOU PLAY
• Search any chord and compare its shapes, from the simplest to the most advanced, each with a difficulty rating.
• The diagram shows numbered fingers, notes and intervals. Tap it and hear the chord before you pick up the instrument.
• Know the shape but not the name? Mark the fingers on the on-screen fretboard and the detector tells you which chord it is.
• Send any chord or scale to your band as an image.

SCALES ACROSS THE WHOLE NECK
57 scales in 35,178 mapped shapes, with degrees, notes and fingering in every region of the neck, plus an exercise mode to drill the pattern. With Pro, you hear the scale run up and down, looped and with the metronome.

COMPLETE TUNER AND METRONOME
• Microphone tuner, processed on the device itself.
• Metronome with tap tempo, time signatures from 2/4 to 12/8, subdivisions and accents.
• Rhythm trainer with accelerando, muted bars, polyrhythm and pocket.
Neither one has a lock.

HARMONY IN PRACTICE
• Interactive circle of fifths, with the diatonic chords of each key and the secondary dominants.
• Transpose a whole chart to the singer's key, capo included.
• Progression builder with reharmonization suggestions.
• Cadences with audio and diagrams, to hear and compare.
• Jazz Lab with drop 2 voicings.
• Strumming and fingerpicking patterns for rock, blues, reggae, folk, country, flamenco, samba, choro and other styles.
• Ear training with intervals, chords and cadences.

YOUR CHARTS, READY FOR REHEARSAL
From Sunday worship to a band gig. Paste the lyrics with the chords, split them into sections and read with auto-scroll, with the metronome running and the diagrams on the same screen. Changed key? Transposing moves the whole chart. With Pro, stage mode shows big lyrics and chords with nothing around them, and the road map repeats the chorus and jumps to the ending in the order the song is played.

FOUR INSTRUMENTS, EACH WITH ITS OWN DIAGRAMS
The cavaquinho and the ukulele get shapes built for their own necks. There's a left-handed mode, light or dark theme, adjustable text size, and the app speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.

CHORD AND FRET PRO

• Sync for charts, scales, folders and settings between phone and tablet.

Choose from the monthly, yearly or lifetime Pro options. Subscriptions are managed by Google Play and can be canceled at any time.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL
The app has no song library: the charts are the ones you add. The detector works from the fingers you mark on screen, without using the microphone. To use the app without a subscription, an account is optional, and without an account nothing leaves your device. To subscribe, you sign in with your Google account.
