If you choose to connect a linked room, profiles, answers, notes and meaningful dates can sync in encrypted form. Photo files stay on your device; their captions and dates can sync. You can export a readable keepsake or a password-protected backup yourself; those files can include your words and photos. Restore a backup on a new phone or delete everything whenever you want. Nothing is sold.
