HOW THE DAYS ARE COUNTED

The entry day and the exit day BOTH count as days inside the area. That is the cautious reading, and it is the convention used by the European Commission's own short-stay calculator, linked under OFFICIAL SOURCES below. The app shows it on the main screen. Overlapping or double-entered trips count each day once.
