SoapLye: Soap Making Calc

Craft artisan-grade cold process, hot process, and liquid soaps with mathematical precision. SoapLye (L'Atelier Botanique) replaces outdated desktop spreadsheets with a modern, high-performance saponification engine and soapmaker's formulation studio.

Whether you are crafting your first batch of Castile soap or scaling an artisan bath and body business, SoapLye calculates your exact chemical requirements, fatty acid balances, and mold capacities in seconds—100% offline.

PRECISION SAPONIFICATION & DUAL-LYE ENGINE

Cold & Hot Process: Exact Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) calculations for solid bar soaps.

Liquid & Cream Soaps: Pure Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) engine with adjustable purity compensation (default 90% or 95%).

Dual-Lye Hybrid Mode: Formulate luxury artisan shaving soaps and cream bars with custom NaOH/KOH ratio splits (such as 60/40).

Concentration Presets: 1-tap switching between Beginner Safe (28% lye / 2.5:1 water), Standard Artisan (33% lye / 2:1 water), and Advanced Water Discount (38% lye).

Superfat Customization: Fine-tune lye discount from 0% to 20% to control bar moisturization and conditioning.

REAL-TIME 7-FACTOR QUALITY BAROMETER
Watch your soap's physical lather and longevity characteristics update live as you blend lipids:

Hardness (29–54) — Bar durability and crystallization.

Cleansing (12–22) — Lauric and myristic micelle strength.

Conditioning (44–69) — Oleic, linoleic, and linolenic skin nourishment.

Bubbly Foam (14–46) — Instant flash lather volume.

Creamy Lather (16–48) — Stable, velvet bubble persistence.

Iodine (41–70) — Resistance to rancidity and oxidation.

INS Index (136–165) — Overall physical master balance.

INTERACTIVE 3D MOLD SIZER & AUTO-SCALER

Loaf & Slab Molds: Enter length, width, and depth (cm or inches).

Cylinder Molds: Calculate round tube batches via diameter and fill height.

1-Tap Auto-Scaling: Automatically scale all oil percentages and weights to match the exact liquid volume of your mold without overflow.

ARTISAN BUSINESS SUITE & BATCH COSTING

Calculate total oil, lye, fragrance, and packaging expenditures per batch.

Automatic Cost per Bar breakdown based on target cut count.

Real-time 3x Artisan and 4x Luxury retail price recommendations for craft fairs, Etsy, and farmer's markets.
