I am Hooyo, and this is my kitchen. It is a place of magic, spices, and a little bit of a mess (but don’t worry, you don’t have to clean this one up!). I created this game so I could show you the secrets of our beautiful Somali cooking, right from the palm of your hand.
In my kitchen, we don't just "cook"—we celebrate! Whether you are a little one learning about your roots or a friend who just loves good food, there is always a seat at my table.
In Hooyo’s Kitchen, you will:

•Stir the Xalwo: It’s a workout for the arms, I promise! Stir it until it’s perfectly sweet and golden.
•Slap the Muufo: Learn the rhythm of the oven! Get that perfect slap-and-stick technique.
•Fold the Sambuusa: Can you get the corners just right? Practice makes perfect!
•Brew the Shaah Cadeys: Pour the milk, add the cardamom, and watch the steam rise.
•Flip the Canjeero: Watch for the bubbles! If it has many holes, you know it’s MashaAllah.

This isn’t just a game—it’s a piece of our home. It’s vibrant, it’s playful, and it’s full of the sounds and colors of Somalia. I’ve made sure everything is bright, "toy-like," and easy for little fingers to play with.
