GNL - Competency Test

GNL - Competency Test is an independent, unofficial practice app for Vietnam's
national competency assessment exams: V-ACT (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi
Minh City) and HSA (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Every question, answer
key and explanation is bundled in the installation, so revision never stops when
the network does.

THIS IS NOT A GOVERNMENT APP

GNL is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Vietnam
National University, VNU-HCM, VNU-Hanoi, their testing centres, the Ministry of
Education and Training, or any other government agency. It provides no government
service, cannot register you for an exam, and never receives your registration or
score.

TWO EXAM FORMATS

- V-ACT (VNU-HCM), paper-based: 120 questions, 150 minutes, maximum 1200 points.
Language Use 60 questions (Vietnamese 30, English 30) for 600 points;
Mathematics 30 for 300 points; Scientific Thinking 30 for 300 points, split
into Logic and data analysis (12) and Scientific reasoning (18).
- HSA (VNU-Hanoi), computer-based: 150 questions, 195 minutes, maximum 150
points. Mathematics and Data Processing 50 questions in 75 minutes; Literature
and Language 50 in 60 minutes; Science or English 50 in 60 minutes, choosing
the Science track (three of five: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History,
Geography) or the English track.

PRACTICE BY TOPIC

Pick an exam, a part, then a topic. Answers are marked instantly, every question
carries an explanation, and the number of available questions is shown before you
start.

TIMED MOCK EXAMS

Sit a full paper in the announced structure with a countdown clock. Flag
questions to revisit, move with the navigator, and submit when ready - or let the
timer submit for you. Before submitting, the app tells you how many questions are
still unanswered.

RESULTS YOU CAN ACT ON

Each attempt ends with your score, correct answers, time used and a part-by-part
breakdown. Review the paper, filter to only the questions you got wrong, and see
your answer next to the correct one. Attempts are saved on your device and can be
cleared at any time.

BROWSE AND SEARCH

Search the whole bank by content or topic, reveal an answer without starting a
paper, or practise straight from the filtered list.

BILINGUAL DELIVERY

Every question, option, explanation and label is in Vietnamese and English.
Switch at any time; the choice is remembered. Options are reshuffled on every
attempt, so you learn the concept, not the letter.

WHY IT WORKS OFFLINE

The whole question bank ships inside the app. No accounts, no adverts, no
analytics, no server calls, and no internet permission. Turn on aeroplane mode and
keep studying; nothing you do leaves your device. The only outbound action is a
source link, which opens the university page in your browser.

ABOUT THE CONTENT

The question bank is generated for this app and de-duplicated: quantitative items
in mathematics, physics and chemistry are verified by computation, while language
and factual items are drawn from curated tables. No past paper is reproduced and
no examination body endorses these questions.
