GATE Prep is a fully offline practice app for GATE aspirants. Every question,
answer, worked solution and glossary entry is bundled inside the installation
package, so your revision never stops when the network does.

Questions are tagged by section and topic, so you can drill one weak area
instead of re-reading everything. The practice screen re-shuffles the option
order on every load, so you learn the concept rather than the position of the
correct choice.

MARKING AND FEEDBACK

The mock test follows the published GATE pattern: 65 questions on a 180-minute
countdown, one question at a time, with a palette that shows what you answered,
what you marked for review and what is still blank.

Wrong-answer penalties match the real paper. An MCQ worth 1 mark costs 1/3 of a
mark when it is wrong, an MCQ worth 2 marks costs 2/3, and MSQ and NAT questions
carry no penalty at all. The same rules are restated inside the app before a
test starts.

Numerical answers accept a small tolerance, so a correctly-rounded value is not
marked wrong.

HOW PRACTICE WORKS

Pick a subject or a topic and work through it at your own pace, or open the
question bank and browse everything the app carries. Answers are checked the
moment you submit them, and the solution is one tap away. Your score, accuracy,
attempt count, bookmarks and notes are saved as you go.

The analytics screen then shows where you actually stand: overall accuracy, a
breakdown by subject and a breakdown by section, plus your full history.

WHY IT WORKS OFFLINE

The entire question bank ships inside the app. There are no accounts, no
sign-ups, no adverts, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no server calls.
Turn on aeroplane mode and keep studying. Because it runs from local data only,
it loads instantly and keeps working with no signal at all.

BILINGUAL BY DESIGN

Every question, option, solution and glossary entry exists in both English and
Hindi, in Devanagari script. Three display modes let you choose what suits you:
English only, Hindi only, or both languages side by side. The interface language
can be set separately from the question language, so you can read the menus in
one language and the questions in the other.

ABOUT THE CONTENT

The syllabus structure, the paper pattern and the marking scheme follow publicly
published GATE information. GATE Prep is an independent study aid. It is not
affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Indian Institutes of
Technology, the Indian Institute of Science, the National Coordination Board or
any other body that conducts or administers the GATE examination.

The questions in this app were written for practice purposes. They are not
reproductions of any past examination paper, and they are not the examination
itself.
