Walk Anywhere - GeoStride

Your steps are already going somewhere. GeoStride gives them a destination.

Pick a starting point and a destination anywhere in the world, and GeoStride
plots a real walking route between them — along actual roads and paths, through
the towns that lie in between. Every step you take in ordinary life moves you
along it.

THE WALKING YOU ALREADY DO
No workouts to log, no timer to start. GeoStride reads your daily steps and
walking distance, so the commute, the dog walk, the trip to the shops — it all
counts automatically. Open the app and your marker has moved.

On Android 14 and later that comes from Health Connect. On older phones, where
Health Connect is a separate download that is usually empty, GeoStride can
count steps from your phone's own step sensor instead — one permission, nothing
extra to install.

NO GPS, EVER
GeoStride never asks for your location. The Android location permissions are
removed from the app outright. Your marker moves by distance walked, not by
where you actually are, so steps on a treadmill count exactly as far as steps
outdoors.

A REAL ROUTE, NOT A STRAIGHT LINE
Your journey follows a genuine walking path between two real places, so the
distance is the distance you would actually cover on foot.

MILESTONES ALONG THE WAY
Reaching a milestone names the real town or city your route has just brought
you to. The early ones come quickly; the later ones take real commitment.

EGGS THAT HATCH AS YOU WALK
Distance earns eggs — at each distance mark, for streaks of days where you hit
your step goal, and for finishing a journey. One incubates at a time and
advances on the days you meet your goal. Hatch it for a creature, then walk
with it and watch it grow.

SEE YOUR WALKING
Average steps a day, total distance, a weekly chart and a 90-day heatmap, plus
every journey you have finished.

WALK WITH FRIENDS
Create or join a group and see how everyone is doing on a shared leaderboard.
Entirely optional — your steps are only shared with a group if you join one,
and a group sees only your chosen name, your avatar and your step counts.

WHAT YOU GET FREE
One journey and one Friends group, with no time limit.

GEOSTRIDE PREMIUM

PRIVACY
Your health data is used to move you along your journey and nothing else. It is
never used for advertising and never sold. You can delete your account, and
everything stored with it, from inside the app at any time.
