About Flip & Spell
8:42 pm. Train's late. Phone's at 38%. You've doom-scrolled for twenty.
Tap a card. It flips. Tap another. They match. The word starts forming. The train pulls in. You don't notice. Deceptively simple, obvious in hindsight, but here it is.
Flip & Spell is a memory matching word puzzle game. Pairs of letters are scattered across a grid. Remember where they are, match them up, and the word reveals itself. Fewest flips wins a most tasteful turn.
Nine categories. Twelve puzzles per level. New levels keep coming.
• Books — e.g. "Beat Generation"
• Food — e.g. "Big Mac"
• Geography — e.g. "Capital Cities"
• Movies — e.g. "Box Office Hits"
• Music — e.g. "The Beatles"
• Random — e.g. "Mr. October"
• Sports — e.g. "March Madness"
• Television — e.g. "Saturday Morning Cartoons"
• Zeitgeist – e.g. Artemis IV
Thousands of curated puzzles. Made for fun, not addiction.
Editorial excellence expected.
Keep your eyes out for fun facts along the way.
A short list of what's not here:
• No daily quests
• No coins or gems
• No energy or power-ups
• No timers or countdowns
• No "unlock more levels for $4.99"
• No barking notifications
• No data tracked or sold
• No streak judging for taking Tuesday off
Built for putting down. We made it for the bus, the bath, the line at the coffee shop. Then we left it alone.
$2.99 and you're done. Every puzzle ships in the download. Every update free. No server. No subscription. No asterisks.
Solve a puzzle. Put it down. Pick it up tomorrow, or next week or whenever you dang well please. Not because you are compelled to. Because you want to, and it's fun with exceptional content.
Back to quality and simple basics.
