Scan the barcode of packaged food: See the A–E Nutri-Score letter, the nutritional values ​​it represents, the function of additives, and allergen warnings all on one screen. No account is required for scanning, searching, and comparing.

Besinio is a standalone nutritional information app that helps you read and compare label information on packaged foods sold in supermarkets in Türkiye. There is no product sales, price comparison, or sponsored ranking.

Barcode Scanning
• Point the camera at the barcode on the packaging; if the product is in the catalog, a results card will open. You can also type the barcode manually. • Scanning is free; there is no daily scan limit. • Scanned products are stored in your device's scan history; they can be accessed even without internet. • Report products not in the catalog using your account; add a label photo if you wish, and receive notifications when a product is added.

Understand the Label
• Nutri-Score: A–E letter and score breakdown. Values ​​that lower the score (energy, sugar, saturated fat, salt) and raise it (fiber, protein, fruits-vegetables) are shown in grams. • Calories, protein, carbohydrates, sugar, fat, saturated fat, salt, and fiber per 100 g / 100 ml; color bands for sugar, saturated fat, salt, and calories. • Ingredient labels: palm oil, trans fat, nitrite (E250), glucose-fructose syrup, sweetener; NOVA processing estimate from the ingredients list. • Additives (E-code): the function of each additive in the legislation (coloring agent, preservative, emulsifier…) and mandatory label notes. Source information, not a risk score.

Allergen warning
• Set your selections from the 14 allergen groups in Annex 1 of the Food Labeling Regulation from the Ingredients tab of the product page. • If the allergen you selected appears in the label text, you will see a warning in the scan result and on the product page; "May contain" statements are shown separately.
• Your selection remains only on your device. Warnings are based on the label text; check the packaging before purchasing.

Search and Compare
• Search by product name, brand, or category; filter by Nutri-Score class, low calorie, plain ingredients, brand, and sales channel. • See gluten-free products in a single list. • Compare values ​​per 100g for up to four products in the same table.
• Similar tab: products with a better Nutri-Score in the same category (may not appear for every product).
• Go to the product's store page with a single touch.

Where does the data come from?
Product records are compiled from publicly available product pages of supermarkets such as Migros, ŞOK, A101, CarrefourSA, and Macrocenter; the product page contains a link to the source. Values ​​are based on the manufacturer's label declaration; check the current packaging before purchasing. We have no commercial affiliation with brands or supermarkets.

How is it calculated?
