Kircubbin Integrated Primary school transformed to its integrated status in September 1998 and we have a current enrolment of 202 pupils. We are situated on the shores of Strangford Lough in County Down.
The school has rapidly grown in recent times and a multi-stage extension project which added to the original school building has left us with the school we have today. The extension project modernised the original four classrooms and added three new classrooms and a new assembly hall/gym. As part of the project Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (P1-P3) now have access to a dedicated play area which will be used to develop play based learning. Our provision for outdoor play is also extremely well resourced, with our eight stage outdoor play equipment project now completed. The children can use this amazing facility at break and lunch time as well as after school. The teachers even bring classes out to burn off extra steam between lessons. It's a great way to keep fit!
