Hanaboca is a Japanese vocabulary app designed for Koreans.

A significant number of Japanese words originate from the same Hanja as in Korean. For example, 準備 (junbi) means preparation, and 学校 (gakkō) means school. By using the Hanja pronunciations you already know as a bridge, you can quickly become familiar with even unfamiliar words.

[What the App Does]

- 3-Minute Level Diagnosis: Find your level with 20 questions and skip words you already know.

- Hanja Pronunciation Bridge: For each word, the Korean Hanja pronunciation and the Japanese reading are displayed side by side. A single Hanja pronunciation rule can solve multiple words.

- Focus on Confusing Sounds: Selects and repeats sounds that Koreans frequently get wrong, such as long vowels, geminate consonants (っ), and voiced consonants.

- Speaking Questions: Press the microphone and speak out loud; the device's voice recognition will analyze your pronunciation and point out the differences.

- Interval Repetitive Review: Words reappear just as you are about to forget them. You will encounter the words you got wrong again soon. - Hiragana & Katakana Course: Even those starting from scratch can follow along from the beginning.

- Pattern Learning: Learn Kanji pronunciation rules (e.g., the initial consonant 'ㄱ' belongs to the 'か' row) by grouping them together.

[Consistent Like a Game]

- Answer questions to earn experience points and Yen, and receive bonuses for consecutive correct answer combos.

- Studying daily maintains a streak of consecutive records, allowing you to collect stamps from Tokyo to Kyoto.

- Weekly League: Compete against 30 other players in the same league for a week to advance in rank.

- Use the Yen you earn to dress up Tanu the raccoon in Japanese festival costumes.

- All words and example sentences feature natural-sounding AI-generated Japanese audio. You can listen without an internet connection.

[Privacy]

- Learning records are stored only on the device.

- The audio for speaking questions is processed by the device's voice recognition system and is not stored or transmitted by the app.

- In the Weekly League, only nicknames and weekly experience points are exchanged via anonymous accounts. - The app is advertised.
