WHAT IS CHAUSAR?

Chausar (also known as Chaupar) is one of the oldest known Indian board games, played for over two thousand years. It uses Pasa — elongated stick dice with faces 1, 3, 4, and 6. No 2s. No 5s. No cowrie shells. These are the authentic rules, sourced from historical Chausar tradition.

The Board & Movement

*75-Square Cross Board: Navigate a beautifully structured, numbered cross board consisting of four colored arms.
*Anti-Clockwise Journey: All tokens must travel in an “anti-clockwise” direction across the arms.
*The Quadrants:
oBlack (South): Outer squares 9–16, Belly squares 1–8.
oRed (East): Squares 17–24.
oYellow (North): Squares 34–50.
oGreen (West): Squares 51–67.
*The Safe Belly: Grey circles represent the inner belly squares (Squares 1–7). No enemy tokens can ever enter your belly zone!

Starting Setup

*Each player commands their army from designated coordinates:
*Single Units: 1 token starts on Square 6 and 1 token starts on Square 7 (inside your safe grey belly circle).
*The Doublet: 2 tokens start paired together as a powerful Doublet on your arm's tactical launch square:
oBlack: Square 12
oRed: Square 29
oYellow: Square 46
oGreen: Square 63

*Solo Practice Mode: Hone your ancient strategies against AI (Not available in MVP version).
*2-Player & 4-Player Battlegrounds: Engage in fierce tactical showdowns with friends or family.
