CommuteMate: GPS Ride Tracker

CommuteMate helps you record everyday commutes and understand how far and how actively you travel.

Start a trip to record your route with GPS. When you finish, CommuteMate calculates distance, duration, average speed, calories, and transport mode. Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly summaries make it easy to see your progress over time.

BACKGROUND LOCATION

Background auto-collection is optional and off by default. Turn it on in Settings → Location recording to let CommuteMate collect low-power location while you are not tracking and build hourly activity summaries. It requires the "Allow all the time" location permission and shows a persistent notification while active. Trips you start with the tracking button keep recording with the screen off without this option.

PRIVACY

Routes and activity statistics are stored locally on your device. Location data is not used for advertising and is not sold. Account sign-in stores your email and display name with the authentication provider. You can delete your account from the app.

Please note that GPS accuracy may be reduced indoors, in tunnels, or near tall buildings, and background auto-collection, when enabled, can increase battery use.
