About Paper Maze: Crayon Puzzles
A maze printed on paper, solved by drawing with crayons.
The paths have colors. You can only cross a path that matches the crayon you are holding,
and black paths are always open. The crayon you need is lying somewhere in the maze.
That is why this maze cannot be solved by scanning it with your eyes — you have to work out
which crayon to fetch first.
HOW IT PLAYS
- Draw without lifting your finger. Backtrack and the mark is erased.
- Step on a crayon and you pick it up. You hold one at a time.
- A gate of another color will not let you through. Every color carries its own pattern,
so it still reads if colors are hard to tell apart.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT HERE
- Every board shipped here was solved end to end by the generator before it went in.
- No timer, no lives. Stay on a board as long as you like.
- Export any maze to an A4 PDF and solve it on paper, answer sheet included.
- Twelve languages, switchable inside the app at any time.

Boards get harder as the number of crayon swaps grows. Later books also use bigger mazes and more crayon colors.

A new look for the title, bookshelf and play screens. The bookshelf shows a real preview of every board and a progress bar per book, and finished books fold away. Boards sit on a sheet of paper on a desk, with a tray below showing the crayon in your hand and the crayons on that board. Finish a board and a stamp lands on it. Also fixed a few boards that would not open. Settings now links to our other apps.
