About Dino Kids: Color, Write, Count

Dino Kids is a free learning app for children from age 3: colouring, drawing, stroke-order handwriting, Vietnamese phonics, hiragana, maths and piano. Open it and start — no account, no network needed.

WHY IT IS FREE
Dino Kids is what Digi Dinos Joint Stock Company gives back to the community, not a source of revenue. We want every family to have one more way to teach a child without weighing up the cost, and parents to have more time to play and learn beside them. The company carries the cost.
• No subscription, nothing to buy inside, no advertising and no third-party analytics — so no child's data is sold either. Every lesson is open the first time a child taps it.
• The app is built so a parent sits down with their child: you record the lessons in your own voice, and once a week it reports what they managed.

ART
• 87 line-art pictures across 16 themes, 12 colours for younger children and 36 for older, 30 levels of undo.
• Colour mixing that behaves like real paint, not an RGB average: blue and yellow make green, and mixes go into the child's own box.
• Free drawing on blank paper, with 34 stampable shapes for a child who cannot draw yet.
• Dot-to-dot: drag across the grid and a closed loop fills itself in; plus 100 guided levels.

VIETNAMESE
• Phonics following the Grade 1 curriculum: 145 rhymes in 19 lessons, 6 tones, 609 syllables, each step read aloud the way a teacher does.
• Spelling rules for c/k/q, g/gh, ng/ngh and tone marks are checked as the child taps.
• Handwriting for capitals, small letters and tone marks in stroke order, scored per stroke.

JAPANESE
• Hiragana and katakana handwriting in stroke order, with direction arrows.
• JLPT vocabulary and grammar from N5 to N1: 387 words and 81 patterns, filtered by level and 21 topics, with meanings in three languages and translated examples.

MATHS
• Counting, comparing, shapes and sums up to ten.
• Writing digits 0 to 9 in stroke order.

MUSIC
• Piano from zero — 27 lessons in 6 stages, from first touch to five-finger songs.
• One octave at a time, so each key is as wide as a small hand; a wrong key still sounds.
• Each key names Do Re Mi with C D E printed small underneath.
• Free play over three octaves and 15 public-domain songs.

PLAY AND PRACTICE
• Mazes — 100 levels, from a 3×3 grid up to 24×24; hitting a wall just stops the line.
• Join the numbers — 100 levels, 0 to 10 at the start and 0 to 200 at the end.
• Flip cards — matching the flags of all 193 UN member states, boards from 2×2 to 15×15, each card named aloud.
• Playtime — finishing lessons earns stickers (72 across 6 sets) and a ticket to one of seven games. Dino hatches from an egg and grows with the stars.
• 40 badges and a learning streak.

BUILT FOR A THREE-YEAR-OLD
• Large buttons and generous touch targets. A child holding the tablet one-handed, a finger on the glass, still hits the right tile.
• No countdown timer, no game-over screen, no crosses and no red. A child never gets zero stars.
• A child who cannot read yet can still navigate: every tile has a picture, colour and spoken name.

FOR PARENTS
• No links out to the web.
• Works straight away with no account. Create one only to carry progress and artwork between devices.
• Offline: every lesson works with no network.
• A Parental Controls section sits at the top of Settings, behind a multiplication question a 3 to 5 year old cannot answer: microphone, unlocking levels, play-to-learn balance, statistics.
• Listening to your child read: they read back the syllable they built, recognised on the device. Off by default, and recordings never leave it. Needs Android 13 or newer.
• A parent's voice: recordable across all 1,878 sounds, syllables and words — as many or as few as you like.

THREE LANGUAGES
The interface is in Vietnamese, Japanese and English, switched in Settings.

Dino Kids began with the children of people who work here, then opened to every family. Digi Dinos keeps it free as a contribution to the community.
