Alfamov
App that allows you to assess the gross motor skills of children between 6 and 12 years old
About Alfamov
Basic Motor Skills (BMS) are a series of organized, basic movements that involve combining movement patterns of two or more body parts. These skills are considered the "pillars of movement" and constitute the first level necessary for achieving motor literacy, a process through which a person becomes physically active throughout their life.
BMS do not develop naturally; rather, they need to be developed with appropriate pedagogical intervention strategies during the school years.
The development of Basic Motor Skills (BMS) has been linked to various health indicators (physical activity, overweight, obesity), so knowing the level of this development can be useful for identifying situations where early intervention is needed.
Based on the TGMD (Test of Gross Motor Development Second), one of the most widely used tools for evaluating children's basic motor skills, we have developed Alfamov.
Alfamov is an educational app that assesses the gross motor skills of children between 6 and 12 years old, based on the evaluation of 22 skills organized into three groups: locomotor skills, manipulative skills, and stability skills.
This app will allow for the early detection of potential motor development deficits, enabling intervention to correct these deficiencies and help children achieve the appropriate level of motor competence.
