Easy Cricket Thermometer

Estimate the outdoor temperature—just by listening to crickets!

This simple and fun app uses the number of cricket chirps to calculate the ambient temperature. It’s based on Dolbear’s Law, a scientific formula discovered in the 19th century that links cricket chirping rates to temperature.

How does it work?
Crickets chirp faster when it’s warm and slower when it’s cool. Dolbear’s formula estimates the temperature in Fahrenheit using the number of chirps in a short time period. The app makes this easy: just count the chirps, tap the button, and get an instant temperature reading.

Features:
Easy-to-use chirp counter,
Automatic temperature calculation,
Optional manual entry,
Experience Dolbear’s Law in action,
Great for camping, hiking, and nature lovers
