About Mappa Mundi
The Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral is the largest existing medieval map of the known world at the time. Drawn on a single sheet of vellum, it is 130cm wide. It was created in about 1300 AD by Richard of Holdingham in Lincolnshire, England.
