Citrine: Futures Trading

Citrine is an on-device Android trading bot for Coinbase Advanced U.S. perpetual futures. Monitor Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), explore a built-in strategy, practice with live market data, and automate eligible trades from one focused workspace.

A Clear View of Both Markets

Follow BTC and ETH charts, positions, portfolio values and trading conditions together. The Edge card explains momentum, structure, participation and liquidity, while its details show entry readiness, active timers, estimated contract capacity, minimum funds and allocation shortfalls.

Practice Before Going Live

Paper Mode uses a balance you choose and standard modeled fees. Shadow Mode initializes a separate simulation using eligible account funds and available account fee information. Both follow current markets without placing real orders. Review simulation activity and export session details.

The Guided Demo teaches the workspace with a sample account. No API key is required for the demo, public market views, Paper Mode or standard historical backtesting.

Detailed Backtesting, Not Just Candles

Test BTC and ETH together over completed dates in the available archive, up to 90 days when coverage permits. Recorded trades, one-second bid/ask data and reconstructed one-second price paths support execution modeling. Trading costs, overnight-margin sizing and available funding data provide more context than a simple candle-only replay.

Choose starting equity and allocation, watch synchronized chart replay, inspect individual trades and drawdown, then save, filter, favorite or export results. Funding coverage and modeling assumptions are explained with each run.

Local Automation With Citrine Complete

Citrine Complete enables real-account controls for eligible users. The built-in strategy supports BTC buy entries and ETH buy or sell entries, with shared allocation and overnight-margin sizing. Citrine manages entries, exits and Coinbase-hosted stop-loss and take-profit orders where supported.

Pause new entries, review position details or request an individual position close. Use your everyday Android device, or make a spare Android your dedicated trading device. Observation Mode lets another device monitor the account without placing or managing real orders. Local automation needs power, connectivity and the required Android background access.

API Keys Stay With You

Funds remain at Coinbase. API credentials are encrypted locally with Android Keystore protection and are not uploaded to Citrine Edge servers. Trading requests go from your device to Coinbase. View and Trade permissions are sufficient; Transfer and Receive permissions are not required.

Citrine does not accept deposits, process withdrawals or hold trading funds. Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play; Coinbase trading costs are separate.

Requirements and Important Information

Live controls require Citrine Complete, an eligible U.S. Coinbase Advanced futures account, the Default portfolio and a supported ECDSA API key with View and Trade permissions. Coinbase determines account and product eligibility.
