About KanChinese: Learn Chinese HSK
Learn Chinese from short videos: watch a scene, tap a word, keep it.
KanChinese teaches Mandarin Chinese through short video scenes with subtitles line by line. Tap any word to hear it, see its pinyin and meaning, and save it. The words you save come back for review before you forget them. It is made for complete beginners and for anyone preparing for the HSK exam.
HSK courses that follow the textbook
HSK 1, HSK 2 and HSK 3 video courses. HSK 1 follows the textbook's fifteen lessons, each in short scenes: watch the dialogue, learn its new words, see how the sentences are built, then practise. The words follow the official HSK vocabulary lists, so every lesson moves you closer to the exam.
Practice that makes it stick
Picture questions for every new word, build the sentence, listen and fill the gap, and a listening check at the end. Get one wrong and you can try again on the spot; anything you miss comes back later.
Real-life Chinese
92 short episodes with the same group of friends: shopping, eating out, getting tickets, everyday chats. The Chinese people really say, at a speed you can follow.
Chinese for Work
Eight topics for work: the office, meetings, calls and messages, clients, jobs and HR, the factory floor, business trips and business dinners.
A podcast and short stories
Listen to the KanChinese podcast, with every line on screen. Read short stories for HSK 1 to HSK 6, read aloud, with pinyin and a tap-to-translate on every word.
Vocabulary with pictures and sound
Every new word comes with a picture and its sound. Flashcards come back at the right time: a word you keep missing returns sooner, a word you know goes quiet. HSK 1 to HSK 6 word books are included.
Pinyin and Chinese characters
A pinyin course with audio for every sound and tone. Practise writing characters stroke by stroke, and learn the parts that make them easier to remember. Numbers and measure words get their own practice.
Games
Chinese Town, a small town to talk your way around, and Word Stack, a word-matching game. Every word you meet goes into your word book.
Also inside
An offline Chinese–English dictionary, grammar notes for HSK 1 to HSK 6, a mistakes book, a daily learning record, streaks and a gentle reminder. The app speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Vietnamese.

I love the way they teach chinese🔥
I really like this app so far It’s simple easy to use and actually makes learning Chinese more enjoyable and I like how everything is explained clearly Definitely a nice app to use if ur starting to learn Chinese 🇨🇳✨
I got the app from Facebook and downloaded it. After using this for 10 minutes, I found it very impressive, especially their AI videos crossponding to the lessons. At the beginning, they don't have traditional Chinese. But, after informing the developer, they added within a very short time. Their response is quite f...
