BloodTrail: Deer Blood Tracker

BloodTrail turns your phone into a blood-tracking tool for deer hunters. Point the camera at the ground and blood lights up while leaves, dirt and grass fade to gray.

See blood you'd miss
• Live blood highlight using your phone's camera and flashlight
• Highlight colors (green, cyan, yellow or white) that work for red-green colorblind hunters
• Sensitivity slider from fresh, bright blood to old, dark, dried blood
• Buzz alert: the phone vibrates when blood comes into view, even on silent
• Glove-friendly: Volume Up turns the light on and off, Volume Down marks blood

Map every drop
• Start at the hit site, then mark each blood spot with one tap
• GPS records your path, even with the phone in your pocket
• Compass shows the direction and distance to the last blood and the hit site
• Offline trail map that works with no cell signal
• Open any spot in Google Maps, or share your trail as KML (Google Earth) or GPX (most hunting and GPS apps)

Private by design
• No account, no ads, no analytics
• Your trails stay on your phone

Good to know
• Red leaves, sumac and red berries can also highlight. Use the sensitivity slider and your own judgment.
• Phone GPS under tree cover is typically accurate to about 3–10 yards.
• BloodTrail is a tracking aid, not a guarantee. Follow your local hunting regulations and practice ethical recovery.
