BehindLens Background Recorder

BehindLens is a background video recorder that keeps the camera running while you use other apps. Start recording, switch to maps, messages or your browser, and your video keeps recording in the background. A status notification always shows that recording is on.

Use it as a simple dashcam, for hands-free video diaries, or any time you need to record video without keeping a camera app on screen.

★ RECORD VIDEO IN THE BACKGROUND
• Keep recording while you use other apps
• Recording status is always visible in the notification bar
• Switch between front and back camera at any time

★ PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Videos are saved only to your own device gallery
• Nothing is uploaded or shared, not even with us
• No account, no sign-up, no ads, no subscriptions

★ LOOP RECORDING FOR LONG SESSIONS
• Long recordings are automatically split into short clips
• Loop recording deletes the oldest clips, so your storage never fills up
• If something goes wrong, you lose at most one short clip, not the whole recording

★ USE IT AS A DASHCAM
Mount your phone, start recording, then open your navigation app. BehindLens keeps recording the road in the background, just like a dashcam.

GOOD FOR
• Dashcam while driving
• Cycling and commuting
• Video diaries and vlogs
• Documenting an incident or a repair
• Recording while you check a map or reply to a message

PERMISSIONS
Camera and microphone are used only to record video. The notification permission shows the recording status.

Please use BehindLens responsibly and follow local laws about recording other people.
