About Tinnitus Relief: Sound Therapy

Tinnitus Relief uses notched sound therapy to help you manage the ringing in your ears.

Unlike generic white noise apps, this tinnitus therapy adapts to you. The app finds your exact tinnitus frequency through a guided listening test, then removes that frequency from the sounds you listen to. Your brain gets sound everywhere except the pitch it has been over-amplifying.

FIND YOUR FREQUENCY

A guided A/B test narrows down your tinnitus pitch in six rounds. Listen to two tones, pick the closer one, repeat. Most people land on their frequency in under five minutes. Each ear is matched separately, because tinnitus is often asymmetric.

DAILY SOUND THERAPY

Once matched, choose a background sound and start your session. Six options: white noise, pink noise, brown noise, rain, ocean and wind. Your tinnitus frequency is filtered out of whichever you pick.

Set a session timer for 30 minutes, one hour or two. Gradual fade eases the sound down at the end, so falling asleep to it does not mean waking up to it.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Rate your tinnitus loudness each day and watch the pattern build. Tinnitus fluctuates constantly, so a single bad day means little. Over weeks the chart shows what is actually happening.

The diary also tracks your therapy hours and daily streak.

BREATHING EXERCISES

Stress makes tinnitus louder. Three guided breathing patterns help calm the response: box breathing, 4-7-8 and quick relief.

BUILT FOR REAL EARS

Independent left and right volume for asymmetric tinnitus.
True decibel scale, so quiet settings stay genuinely quiet.
Live spectrum display showing exactly where the notch sits.
Works fully offline. No account, no sign-up.
English and Russian.

HOW TO USE IT

Listen one to two hours a day. Keep the volume just below your tinnitus, not loud enough to cover it. Log your loudness daily. Notched sound therapy is a gradual approach and works over weeks and months, not days.

FREE AND PRO

The frequency matching and core therapy are free. Pro unlocks nature sounds, the two-hour timer, sleep fade, per-ear volume, breathing exercises and extended history.

You can also unlock Pro at no cost by sharing anonymous data for tinnitus research. No name, no email, no device ID — only anonymised audiological data, and only if you choose to.

IMPORTANT

Tinnitus Relief is a wellness and relaxation app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Results vary between individuals. If you have tinnitus, please see a qualified audiologist or physician.
