AyahLock: Quran App Blocker

AyahLock turns the moments you already spend on your phone into moments of reflection.

Every time you open an app you've chosen to restrict, AyahLock shows you the next verse of the Quran before you continue — one ayah at a time, in order, picking up exactly where you left off. No extra time carved out of your day. No new habit to force. Just the screen time you're already spending, turned into consistent progress through the Holy Quran.

HOW IT WORKS
• Choose which apps you find yourself opening without thinking — social media, games, or anything that eats your screen time
• AyahLock detects the moment you open one of them
• You're shown the next verse in sequence, in Arabic with English translation
• Read the ayah, then continue — your reading progress is saved automatically

That's the entire mechanic. No accounts, no complicated setup, and no mandatory subscriptions.

BUILT FOR REAL HABITS, NOT WILLPOWER
Most screen time and app blocker tools rely purely on friction — a wall you have to fight through that gets disabled the moment it becomes annoying. AyahLock replaces that friction with something worth doing. Instead of just delaying distraction, every unlock becomes a small, structured step toward completing a full reading of the Quran — a khatam.

TRACK REAL PROGRESS
• Khatam progress — see exactly how far through the Quran you are
• Juz tracker — know which of the 30 juz you're currently reading
• Daily streaks — stay consistent day after day with an integrated habit tracker
• Longest streak — keep a record of your best reading run
• Estimated completion date — a realistic projection of when you'll finish based on your own pace
• Weekly reading history — a simple visual log of your recent focus activity

A DIGITAL WELLBEING TOOL THAT DOESN'T JUDGE
AyahLock doesn't lecture you about screen time or guilt-trip you for opening an app. It simply gives you a moment of pause and something meaningful to do with it. Whether you're trying to reduce mindless scrolling, build a daily Quran reading habit, or just want an Islamic focus timer that nudges you toward something better, AyahLock fits quietly into your routine.

SIMPLE, PRIVATE, AND HONEST
• Your reading progress, streaks, and app selections are stored only on your device
• AyahLock cannot read the contents of your other apps — no messages, no browsing history, nothing
• No account required, ever
• Free to use and supported by ads — with an optional way to skip the wait if you're in a genuine hurry

WHY ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION?
AyahLock uses Android's Accessibility Service for one purpose only: to detect when you open an app you have chosen to lock, so it can show you a Quran verse first. It only checks which app is open. It cannot read your screen, messages or anything you type, it never performs actions or changes settings on your behalf, and no data leaves your device. You are asked for consent in the app before it is enabled, and you can turn it off at any time in your phone's Accessibility settings.
