BarterSci

BarterSci is a collaboration marketplace for scientists and researchers. Post what your research needs — an instrument run, a methods review, a statistical analysis, a co-author — review proposals from qualified researchers, and start collaborating.

WHO IT'S FOR
Early-career scientists, PhD students, postdocs, lab heads, and independent researchers across every field — from molecular biology and chemistry to data science, engineering, social sciences, and the humanities.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Post a research task. Describe the objective, preferred techniques, deliverables, and timeline in a guided wizard.
2. Get proposals. Researchers with the right expertise respond with how they can help.
3. Choose your collaborator. Review profiles, publications, and reviews, then accept the best proposal.
4. Work together. Built-in messaging, project tracking, and completion confirmation keep the collaboration on track.

WHY BARTERSCI
• A personalized For-You feed matches tasks to your fields, methods, and instruments.
• Deep researcher profiles: fields, skills, capabilities, education, publications, and peer reviews.
• Whatever you arrange stays between you — co-authorship, instrument time, or paid work. BarterSci never takes a percentage.
• Reviews are exchanged double-blind after each collaboration, so reputations reflect real work.
• Connect, follow, and message researchers to grow your scientific network.

BarterSci is currently in pilot. Join at bartersci.com or sign up right in the app — posting tasks and sending proposals is free during the pilot.
