Phonewise: App Blocker & Focus

Phonewise is an app blocker for people who have already tried app blockers. Most of them have a button that says "ignore." Phonewise does not. Block the apps that eat your day, cut your screen time, and earn every app back with push-ups, a quick question or a slow breath.

EARN YOUR WAY BACK IN
Strict mode asks for real physical effort, and the camera has to see you do it. On-device pose tracking counts your push-ups, squats or jumping jacks and draws your joints as it counts. It will not accept a shake, a wave or a phone in your pocket. Steady mode asks a math problem, a quiz question or a timed breathing pause instead, rotating so you cannot memorise your way past it.

Told us during setup that you have a health or mobility limitation? Strict mode never asks you for physical activity, and nothing in the app will override that.

BLOCK APPS AND SOCIAL MEDIA
Block social media, short videos, games or any app that pulls you in. Set a daily time limit for any app, or block it outright. When you open a blocked app, Phonewise covers it before the scroll starts.

GIVE THE KEY TO SOMEONE ELSE
Make a friend your guardian. Phonewise generates one eight-character code, shows it once, and you send it to them. From then on, unblocking an app, weakening a limit or deleting a schedule needs that code. You have to ask a human being out loud. Most people put the phone down instead. Lost the code? Bailouts release it, so nobody is locked out of their own phone.

SCHEDULES FOR FOCUS AND SLEEP
Four windows worth sealing, one tap each: Revenge Hour for the late-night scroll, First Light for the morning reach, Deep Work for study and work focus, and The Table for dinner. While a schedule runs, every way out is shut.

FOCUS TIMER AND ROOMS
Ten timed rooms to be in while your apps stay closed: Breathe, Meditate, Morning, Reading, Think, Wind Down, Family, Study, Peace and Night. A focus session cannot be paused, cancelled or waited out.

BAILOUTS AND EMERGENCY ACCESS
Bailouts end a locked session or open a blocked app instantly. Emergency access to calls, messages and maps is always free and always instant.

YOUR WEEK, TOLD PROPERLY
Time reclaimed, sessions finished, your best day, read from your phone's real usage data. No invented statistics and no chart comparing you with strangers. A digital detox you can actually see.

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
No account, no server, no sync. Phonewise uses Android's Accessibility Service only to notice when a blocked app opens, so it can show the block screen. It never reads what is on your screen, and nothing leaves your phone. Camera frames for a challenge are processed on the device and never recorded or uploaded.

PHONEWISE PRO
Phonewise is free, and the free version really blocks apps. Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, that adds more bailouts, the guardian code and unlimited schedules. Cancel any time in Google Play.
