Lumen: Glyph Lightshows

Give your sound a light show. Lumen brings live, sound-reactive patterns to the Glyph lights and Glyph Matrix of compatible Nothing phones, with a preview you can explore on other Android phones too.

Start with the built-in Demo beat, then choose Microphone or Phone audio. Shape the rhythm, tune the brightness and save a look that feels like yours.

THREE WAYS TO FIND THE BEAT
• Demo beat: explore a built-in rhythm and adjust the tempo. No microphone or capture consent needed.
• Microphone: let the lights react to sound around you.
• Phone audio: react to eligible music, videos and games playing on your phone, with Android’s audio-sharing consent.

A STYLE FOR YOUR GLYPHS
9 styles for Glyph-light phones: Pulse, Sweep, Spectrum, Breathe, Sparkle, Rise, Vocal, Strobe and Cascade.
12 styles for Glyph Matrix phones: Rings, Bars, Ripple, Particles, Orbitals, Waveform, Metaballs, Comet, Heartline, Dot Rain, Aurora Fields and Crossweave.

GLYPH RINGTONES FROM YOUR SONGS
Pick a song, trim up to 30 seconds, choose a style and preview the lights in sync. Lumen saves an Ogg ringtone with a matching Glyph light track to your Ringtones folder, and can set it as your ringtone or notification sound.

See your changes in the live preview as you adjust sensitivity, brightness, decay, speed and bass emphasis. Save presets to return to your favourite combinations. Choose Chill, Balanced or Punchy Feel while keeping your sliders. Star styles to pin favourites first in Studio. Choose light, dark or system theme.

AUDIO STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
No Lumen account. No ads. No analytics. Microphone and Phone audio are analysed live in memory and are never saved as recordings or uploaded. Ringtones you create are saved only on your phone. Settings and presets are stored locally and may be included in Android system backup. Google Play handles purchases.

BEFORE YOU START
Lumen requires Android 13 or newer. Rear-light control needs compatible Nothing hardware, its Glyph system service and SDK access. Other phones can use the on-screen preview. Physical LED output, ringtone light playback and background behaviour have not yet been verified on real Nothing hardware. Ringtones are not available for Phone (4b).

Some apps and protected content block playback capture. Lumen may try a compatibility mode, but capture is not guaranteed. Phone audio requires consent for each new capture session. Active shows provide a notification with a Stop action; background behaviour depends on Android and the phone’s Glyph service.

Light shows can flash. Strobe limits onset flashes to 3 per second; this does not remove photosensitivity risk. Stop if lights cause discomfort. Vocal follows midrange energy; it does not isolate a singer.
