✦ About Sheikh Al-Bahtimi ✦

He was born in 1922 in the Bahtim neighborhood of Qalyubia. He memorized the Quran by the age of ten. He was nicknamed "The Man with the Steel Throat" for the purity and power of his voice, and "The Weeping Sheikh" for his heartfelt sincerity. He was the reciter at the Presidential Palace during the era of Gamal Abdel Nasser. He passed away in 1969 at the age of 47, leaving behind an enduring legacy of Quranic recitation.
