"Fath al-Bari bi Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari" is one of the most important books of Hadith commentary among Sunni Muslims. It was authored by the scholar Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, and he spent approximately 25 years writing and refining it.

It is also known as "Diwan al-Sunnah" (The Collection of the Sunnah), and it was once said of it, "There is no migration after the conquest," meaning that no further commentary was needed.

In his commentary, Ibn Hajar focused on detailing the chains of narration (isnad), clarifying unfamiliar terms, deriving legal rulings and educational benefits, and reconciling different narrations of a single Hadith.

He also wrote an introduction called "Hadi al-Sari" (Guidance for the Seeker), which included principles of Hadith sciences and a defense of the Hadiths in Sahih al-Bukhari that had been criticized by some scholars.

The book has been immensely popular among scholars and students of Islamic knowledge and has been printed dozens of times. It is considered by all scholars to be the best commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari.
