My Baking Book: Recipe Manager

My Baking Book is the recipe manager built for people who love to bake — and who believe their recipes are nobody else's business.

Every recipe you save stays on your device. Not in the cloud. Not on our servers. Not anywhere we can see. Just on your phone, in a fast, local database that works whether you have signal or not.

── FEATURES ──

📖 Recipe Management
Add, edit, organise, and delete recipes with ease. Give each recipe a title, description, category, difficulty level, prep and cook time, ingredients list, and step-by-step instructions. Add personal notes. Mark favourites. Find anything in seconds.

🔊 Read Steps Aloud
Hands covered in flour? Tap once and let the app read your recipe steps aloud using your device's built-in voice. Works completely on-device — no data sent anywhere.

⏱️ Step Timers
Steps with a time start a countdown automatically. Leave the app and you'll still get a notification and vibration when it's done.

📤 Import & Export
Share your favourite recipes with family and friends. Export any recipe as a .bbrecipe file or PDF and send it via email, messaging, or save it to your device. Import recipes you receive from others in the same format.

📥 Open Recipes From Other Apps
Got a .bbrecipe file in WhatsApp, Gmail or Files? Tap it and choose My Baking Book — it's added straight to your book.

💾 Back Up & Restore
Save your whole recipe book to a single file and restore it on a new phone — merge with what's there or replace it.

🔐 100% Offline
No internet connection required. Ever. My Baking Book works just as well on a farm with no signal as it does in a city. Your recipes are always available.

🛡️ Privacy by Design
We collect zero analytics. Zero usage data. Zero personal information. We do not know who you are, what you bake, or how you use this app. No ads. No tracking. No third-party SDKs harvesting your behaviour.

⚡ Fast & Lightweight
Launches instantly. Searches instantly. No loading spinners. No waiting for a server.

── PERFECT FOR ──

- Home bakers who want their recipes organised
- Bread and sourdough bakers who live by the timer
- Families passing down traditional recipes
- Anyone who wants their cooking private and portable
- People in areas with unreliable or expensive data

── PERMISSIONS ──

Notifications (Android 13+): used only to tell you when a step timer finishes. Vibrate: for the timer alert. The Internet permission is listed because some Android text-to-speech engines optionally use the network for voice synthesis — this is controlled by your device, not by this app.

── PRIVACY ──

My Baking Book does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All recipes are stored only on your device. Full privacy policy: https://www.dynamolabs.co.za/my-baking-book/privacy/
