山宿小说

Shansu Novels is the official reading app of books.shansu.com. The books in the library are sourced from the Chinese public domain collection of Project Gutenberg. We selected each book individually, converted them from traditional to simplified Chinese, re-cut chapters, and meticulously checked the titles and headings. Missing characters and garbled text were painstakingly corrected. Currently, there are over one hundred titles with approximately twenty million words.

Page Turning Like Turning a Paper: The default is a realistic page-turning experience: the paper folds, rolls up, and falls, following your finger. If you don't like this, there are four other options: cover, slide, scroll, and no animation.

Read Comfortably: Brightness and eye protection settings, font size, font weight, line spacing, paragraph spacing, four paper-colored backgrounds, night mode, and left/right hand/dominant hand switching are all easily adjustable. Long-press to select words to copy, underline, add bookmarks, write notes, and search within the site.

Open and Read: The bookstore homepage displays rankings and recommendations. The details page shows the rating, word count, and update time on one screen. Swipe left to start reading. Chapters can be cached offline, so you can continue reading even without a signal on the go.

The website and app share the same account; register once and it works on both platforms. Simply enter your email address to register. After email verification, all chapters are available for reading. You can also download the entire book offline and rate it. Your bookshelf and reading progress will automatically sync between logged-in devices.

Read your own books too.

Supports importing local TXT files and allows for customizable table of contents recognition rules. The first book you see in your bookshelf, *Shan Su Cang Shu Tie*, is a local TXT file—a letter from us to our readers.

Re-formatted for tablets and foldable screens.

On a tablet, turning it horizontally automatically creates two pages, simulating page turning with the center fold as the axis; turning it vertically creates a single page, making long reading sessions less tiring.

Foldable phones also display two pages when unfolded; half-folded into book mode, it still displays two pages; horizontally in desktop mode, it automatically changes to a single page; when folded, the outer screen continues reading from the previous page.

If you encounter any typos, missing chapters, or reversed chapter titles, please write to [email protected] with the book title and approximate location. We will correct them upon receipt.
