A cheerful checkmate course with a friendly purple piece called Bish as your guide. Every lesson is a real position with one forced mate, and Bish cheers, thinks or sighs along with you in a speech bubble.
Lesson aim
Learn to spot forced mates in one, two and three moves through 84 short lessons on a winding path.
Warm-up
Chapters 1 to 3 teach mate in one: First Steps, The Long Diagonal and Corner Hunters. Tap a piece, then tap where it goes.
Play tasks
Chapters 4 to 6 move on to mate in two with Two-Move Tricks, The Quiet Key and Forest of Pawns. Chapters 7 and 8, Three-Move Towers and The Grand Gate, finish with mate in three. Each chapter opens with a short story, and lessons unlock in order with up to three stars.
Group work
Duel lets two friends share one phone. Enter names, choose three or five rounds and pass the phone between turns. A stopwatch runs, a wrong move adds ten seconds, and three slips end the turn. More puzzles solved, then less time, decides the match, and past duels are saved.
Timed practice
Timed trial gives two minutes of puzzles that grow harder. A wrong move or a skip costs eight seconds.
Reading corner
A quiz on world champions and famous games: 8 questions per round from 24 real facts, with Check, a short fact and Continue after each answer.
Assessment
Twelve badges, such as First Lesson, Perfect Chapter, On a Roll and Quick Thinker, plus a day streak, points and stars above the hub.
Classroom notes
Soft confetti floats and turns over cream hills as an animated background. Switch it off in Settings, along with haptics and a progress reset. The course plays offline with no account needed.
