About wieder: der die das trainer
Learn German articles — der, die and das — with spaced repetition that works offline.
German nouns carry a gender you cannot reliably guess, and getting it wrong doesn't stay contained: the article is wrong, then the adjective ending, then the pronoun. There's no shortcut. You learn them one noun at a time — and that's exactly what wieder is for.
HOW IT WORKS
Each German noun is a flashcard. You see the word, you tap der, die or das, and the answer sweeps in under a highlighter. Right, and it returns in a few days. Wrong, and it's back tomorrow.
The scheduling is the whole app. wieder uses FSRS-4.5, the spaced repetition algorithm behind modern Anki, to show each word at the moment you're about to forget it — so no time goes on vocabulary you already know.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• The full A1 German vocabulary — around 380 nouns with articles, plurals and English translations
• 88 German article rules with their exceptions, one tap away, so you learn why a noun takes the gender it does
• Every plural shown and spoken on reveal
• German pronunciation using your device's text-to-speech voice
• German grammar lessons and quizzes, on the same scheduler
• A memory dashboard showing what has actually reached long-term recall
BUILT FOR DAILY PRACTICE
• Works completely offline — the entire deck is bundled in the app
• No account and no sign-up
• No ads and no in-app purchases
• A daily goal, a streak, and one optional reminder on days you have reviews due
GOOD FOR
Beginners starting Deutsch, learners preparing for the Goethe-Institut A1 exam, and anyone who can hold a conversation but still guesses at noun gender.
PRIVACY
Your progress, streak and scheduling stay on your device and are never uploaded. There is no account. Anonymous usage analytics can be switched off in Settings. Deleting the app deletes your data permanently.
A2, B1 and B2 appear in the level picker as coming soon — they have no content yet, and nothing is behind a paywall.
"wieder" is German for "again", which is what spaced repetition is.
