About Omaku — Memory & Family
Omaku keeps families genuinely close — across any distance, at any age, with or without memory decline.
For the loved one living alone
Every morning, Omaku is there. Today's date, spelled out in full. A warm greeting by name. A simple question that invites them to share something with the family. Their medicines, their routines, their day — all gently held together so they can stay in their own home and live their own life.
For the family far away
There is a difference between knowing your loved one is fine and their feeling that you are close. The Sunday call covers the first. Omaku is built for the second — the grey Tuesday afternoon, the quiet Thursday, the days between the calls.
Add a photo from Oslo. It appears on their screen in Reykjavík. They respond with a voice note. The loop closes. A conversation happens that would never have started otherwise.
What Omaku includes:
• Today screen — the date and the time at the top, a greeting by name, and the whole day in one calm list
• Daily Moment — a warm question each morning; the answer stays private unless you choose to share it with family
• Memories — photographs, voice recordings, videos. Your own story, in your own words.
• Family messages — photos, voice notes and short videos from the family, a question only you can answer, and warmth sent back with one tap
• A to-do list with photos and gentle reminders — each task with its own picture, at the time you choose
• Medicine reminders — with a photo of the pill bottle, tap to mark each dose
Free today — and the first 100 families to join keep Omaku free, for good.
Why Omaku exists
Loneliness among older people is one of the largest health crises of our time — larger, in many ways, than the diseases we talk about more openly. A loved one can be perfectly healthy and still utterly alone. Your call on Sunday matters more than you know.
Omaku is built for every older person who deserves to feel less alone — and for every family that loves them from a distance. It is there when memory begins to fade, with dementia or without it.
Start without an account, and use Omaku with no internet at all — then everything stays on the phone. Sign in, and your memories are kept safe in your account, stored in Europe, so a new phone or a sign-out never loses them. Only what you choose to share reaches your family. No strangers, no advertising, nothing sold. Ever. Private by design.
Built in Scandinavia. Omaku — embracing the family. Isn't that what grandmothers have always done?
Omaku is a personal memory aid and daily routine tracker. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding medication.
