GroGuild – Plant Guilds

Create your own plants and categories, edit existing plants and choose icons, spacing and growing conditions. The editor and import are free for everyone. With groguild Pro, export and share your own entries or the entire plant library. Edits survive app updates and appear in existing guilds. When replacing the library, a list of affected plants and guilds prevents missing entries. Two Australian plants join the catalog. Plant information panels now scroll reliably.

GroGuild helps you visually plan sustainable plant guilds and companion planting layouts. Drag plants onto an interactive 2D canvas, check spacing, and see companion-plant synergies directly in your design.

WHAT GROGUILD DOES

GroGuild combines permaculture planning with a clear mobile interface. Use it for garden beds, food forest zones, Three Sisters plantings, and simple designs for self-sufficiency or garden planning.

FEATURES

• Drag-and-drop guild designer with an interactive 2D canvas
• Grid, snap-to-grid and alignment guides for precise placement
• Distance and area measurement directly on the canvas
• Companion plants and antagonists shown as visual connection lines
• Plant database with category, spacing, sun and water needs
• Plants native to North America with region and pollinator filters, a North American origin badge, bloom months and butterfly host information
• Sowing and harvest calendar for seasonal planning
• Southern Hemisphere mode: sowing, bloom and harvest months shift automatically by six months
• Guild templates such as fruit tree guild, Three Sisters, herb island, Pollinator Patch and Monarch Waystation
• Units in cm, m, inches and feet
• PDF with layout, plant list and relationships; PNG image of the layout
• 18 app languages with quick language switching

PDF labels and plant names follow all 18 app languages, including Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Korean. Bundled fonts let the first PDF or PNG export work without internet access.

Pollinator Patch and Monarch Waystation are North American examples. Check site suitability and local rules before planting. Do not plant Asclepias syriaca in the EU.

FREE AND PRO

The free version includes 15 plants across all categories, enough to plan the classic fruit tree guild in full. groguild Pro unlocks every plant and every guild template with a one-time purchase. No subscription.

LOCAL AND PRIVATE

Your designs are stored locally on your device. GroGuild does not send guild designs, plant selections or planning metadata to a server.

GroGuild is a practical planner for designing plant communities more clearly and documenting them in a way you can revisit later.
