SnailPost: Pen Pal Letters

SnailPost is a pen pal app for people who miss real conversations. Match with penpals around the world who share your interests, write letters that travel slowly, and build friendships that actually last.

In a world dominated by instant messaging, SnailPost brings back the lost art of letter writing and correspondence. No swiping, no pressure — just thoughtful letters from real people, delivered slowly, the way mail was meant to travel.

WHY PEOPLE LOVE PEN PALS
Writing letters to a pen pal is different from chatting. Because letters move slowly, you slow down too — you think about your words and share your real life: your city, your culture, your ideas. Your pen pal does the same. Over weeks and months, strangers become genuine global friends. It is cultural exchange in its oldest and best form, one letter at a time, in your own time.

HOW SNAILPOST WORKS
- Create your profile with your interests — books, films, travel, music, writing, nature and more
- Get matched with pen pals worldwide based on shared interests and languages
- Write a letter and send it. It travels slowly from your place to theirs — hours for a neighbour, days for someone on the other side of the world
- Wait for the reply. Anticipation is half the joy of mail that arrives slowly

FIND PEN PALS WHO ACTUALLY REPLY
Nothing hurts more than writing a heartfelt letter and getting ghosted. SnailPost shows how quickly each penpal usually replies, so you can match with active letter writers — people who are here to write back, not disappear.

COLLECT AND SEND STAMPS
Every letter carries a stamp. Send Express Post to halve your letter's flight time, Registered Post to know when your pen pal opens it, Occasion Post to land on a birthday, Picture Post to share up to 10 photos, or Nightingale for a gentle nudge when a reply is overdue. Collecting stamps is half the fun of being a penpal.

YOUR TRAVELLER'S PASSPORT
Every letter you send stamps your passport. See the countries you have written to, the total distance your letters have travelled, and share it with friends.

PERFECT FOR
- Making foreign friends and international friends from different countries and cultures
- Deep, meaningful conversations and real connections instead of small talk
- Language exchange — find a language exchange partner and practise English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean or Hindi with native speakers
- Anyone searching for a pen friend, penfriend, or an old-fashioned snail mail penpal
- Introverts who prefer writing over video calls
- Anyone who loves journaling, postcards, or living slowly

A CALMER CORNER OF THE INTERNET
- No photo-first profiles, no swiping culture
- Matching based on personality and interests, not looks
- Take your time — here, letters travel slowly on purpose
- A kind, respectful community of letter writers

REAL PEOPLE, VERIFIED
Every SnailPost writer completes a profile and photo verification before they can send a letter, so you are writing to real pen pals — not bots or scammers. Report or block anyone, any time.

YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS
You choose what to share. Your exact location is never shown — only your country and approximate distance, so your letters know how far to travel.
