Cat Sticker Camera: CapCats

I built CapCats for people who can't walk past a cat without taking a photo.

CapCats is a cat camera, a meme maker and a feed of cats in one app.

Point the camera at a cat and take the photo. CapCats finds the cat, lifts it out of the photo on your phone and gives it a white edge. Pick a background, add meme text if you like, and save. Then swipe through other people's cats and keep the ones you love.

Make a picture
• Every picture starts as a photo you take in the app. Nothing is imported.
• The shutter works when a cat is in view, so you don't waste a shot.
• Tap the meow button to catch your cat's eye.
• Keep shooting. Your photos wait for you, and Save all finishes them in one go.
• Two cats in one photo? Keep them together, leave one out, or make a picture of each.
• Backgrounds are suggested from your cat's colors, with pastels, gradients, patterns and any color you like.
• Meme text sits above and below the cat.
• A new picture starts on the Original background, so CapCats uploads your whole photo with it, scaled down and without camera or location details. Pick any other background and CapCats uploads only your cat. A copy is saved to your phone's gallery, unless you turn that off.

Keep your cats
• Every picture joins a cat. Photograph the same cat as often as you like.
• Name each cat yourself, or tap for a random name.
• Your stats show your streak, the cats you saved and a calendar of your cat days.

Browse and sniff
• After a short welcome you can skip, CapCats opens on a feed of cats. You don't need a cat nearby.
• Swipe right to purr. Swipe left to hide a picture from your feed. Swipe up for the next one.
• Purrs are the only vote. Hiding a picture only changes your own feed, and nobody is told.
• Sniff people and collections, and find their new pictures in Sniffing.
• Choose the notifications you want, one type at a time. They all start off.
• Add a widget and a cat from your feed waits on your home screen.

Collect
• Save other people's pictures to your own collections. The creator keeps the credit.
• Open a collection as an album or a grid, and pinch the grid to fit more in.

Rankings and themes
• Daily and weekly rankings of the most loved pictures. Sniffer counts never decide them.
• A new theme every week. Enter up to five of your pictures.
• Earn XP and badges, and climb Top collectors.

Share
• Share a picture as a card, an image, a transparent sticker or a link.
• Open the CapCats camera from a Quick Settings tile, even on the lock screen.

Yours to control
• Start as a guest, with no sign up. Sign in with Google or Apple to keep your cats safe.
• New pictures are public unless you choose private. Cats and collections can be private too.
• Every new picture gets an automatic check before other people can see it.
• Report a picture, a profile or a collection. Block anyone.
• Delete your account in the app whenever you like. Your pictures go with it right away.
• The Help assistant answers questions in the app and can send me a bug report.
• Light and dark mode, and subtle sounds you can switch off.
• Free to use. An ad marked Sponsored shows now and then in the For you feed.
