Rideout: Motorcycle Rides

Rideout records your ride, tells you what it actually was, and gives you something worth posting.

Press record at the gate. The track goes down as you go, with the screen off and the phone in your pocket, all day, with signal or without. It pauses itself when you stop for fuel and picks up when you pull away, so the numbers at the end are riding time and not standing-around time.

RECORD THE RIDE
- Keeps recording with the screen off, in your pocket, out of signal
- Auto-pauses at stops, so moving time is honest
- Saved as it happens, so a flat battery does not cost you the ride
- Distance, moving time, average and top speed, climb and descent, stops

FOLLOW A ROUTE
Nobody is going to give you turn-by-turn directions on a jeep track, and no road graph knows the two-track you are on. Rideout shows the route as a line, an arrow back to it when you wander off, and how much is left. No rerouting, no chatter, no data connection.

POST IT
Every ride turns into a card with your track and your numbers on it. One tap to WhatsApp or an Instagram story, or send a link and your mates can look at the whole ride in a browser without installing anything.

PLAN THE ROUTE
Build routes at rideout.co.za with multi-waypoint planning and Direct, Scenic, Adventure and Enduro styles. The map colours the line by surface, so you know how much of the day is off-road before anyone commits. Import and export GPX.

FUEL, PASSES AND A PLACE TO SLEEP
Turn on the layers you need. Fuel stops, mountain passes, viewpoints, camping and places to stay, measured along your route instead of as the crow flies.

GET THE PACK OUT
Share one link and mates tap I am in. Roster, meeting point and kickstand time in one place instead of buried in the group chat.

BUILT FOR ADVENTURE RIDING IN SOUTHERN AFRICA
The routing, the surface data and the speed model are calibrated for South African roads and tracks, dirt included. Adventure, dual sport, gravel, big trail and touring.

LOCATION
Rideout uses your location while a ride is recording, including when the app is closed or not in use, to record your track and work out your ride stats. Recording starts when you press Start and stops when you stop it. Your rides are private by default.
