VARTA: Air Raid Alerts Ukraine

VARTA sends air raid alerts and all-clears for the city, community, district or region in Ukraine that you choose, plus early warnings about ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, Shahed drones (including jet-powered ones) and guided bombs (KAB).
Every threat has its own sound: "Alarm" is used only for the official alert, "Threat" for monitoring-channel warnings, and "Ballistic" has a sound of its own.
Free, no ads, no location access: you pick your places manually.

🔔 Air raid alert and all-clear
• Official air raid alert status by region, district and community.
• The all-clear arrives as a separate signal as soon as the alert is lifted for your place.
• A notification goes out as soon as an event appears, not on a timer.

🚀 Early threat warnings
• Monitoring channels are merged and filtered down to the places you follow.
• Detects ballistic and cruise missiles, attack and jet drones, guided bombs and tactical aviation.
• A launch with an estimated arrival time comes as a warning; a new ballistic wave rings again instead of arriving as a quiet update.
• A target over your city is loud; passing mentions arrive quietly.

🧹 Smart filter
• News, aftermath of past strikes, summaries, forecasts and "no threat for now" lines never ring as an alert; they stay in the feed.
• Ads, fundraisers and service posts are filtered out automatically. Real threats are never hidden.
• Mute a single source or set a minimum threat level: info, yellow or red.

🔊 Sounds and night mode
• A separate sound per type: Alarm, Threat, Ballistic, Alarm update, All-clear, Other, Chat.
• For each type: your own sound from the phone, vibration only, or silent.
• Night mode keeps nights quieter, yet official alerts, all-clears and ballistic warnings always come through.
• "Notification reliability" walks you through what on your phone might silence alerts, and a test notification lets you check it works.

🗺 Alert map
• Our own map of Ukraine with region status: alert, partial alert, all-clear.
• When an alert covers a district, only its communities light up, not the whole region.
• Tap a region or community for its status, duration, active districts and latest messages.

📊 Alert history
• How many alerts in the last 7 or 30 days, hours under alert and the most frequent times of day, for your region or community.

💬 Community
• Public chat, groups, private messages and friends.
• An optional "in shelter" or "at home" status, visible only to friends and groups.
• Community rules apply; you can report or block messages and people.

🔒 Privacy
• The app never asks for location permission.
• No ads, no paid tiers, no analytics trackers. Your data is not sold.
• Data goes only to Firebase (push delivery), Google (if you sign in with Google) and the developer's bot (your feedback and reports).
• Browse the map and feed without an account; delete your account right in the app.

Important: VARTA is an independent app, not an official one, and is not affiliated with any government body. Official alert status comes from the open ukrainealarm.com API, warnings from public Telegram channels. VARTA does not replace sirens, official signals or local authority instructions. Delivery depends on your network, phone settings and Google services, so timely delivery of every notification cannot be guaranteed.
