ChengJing Notes

Here is the tightened English version, scaled down to around ~1,800 characters (well within your 4,000-character limit) while retaining all key features and tone:

ChengJing Notes is a local-first personal knowledge workspace that seamlessly integrates your notes, ideas, daily logs, whiteboards, to-dos, and projects in one place. Your data stays entirely under your control.

Capture Fleeting Ideas

Snippets: Capture quick thoughts instantly without worrying about immediate classification. Easily convert them later into cards, whiteboard elements, kanban items, or tasks.

Card-Based Knowledge Base

Built with block editing, tags, backlinks, version history, structural hierarchies, and global search.

A single card can exist across multiple workflows without being trapped in a single folder.

Flexible Whiteboard

Spread out ideas visually with cards, text blocks, mind maps, and attachments.

Features intuitive touch gestures and pinch-to-zoom optimized for Android.

Kanban & Task Management

Built-in multi-kanban and multi-list project tracking with start/due dates, checklists, tags, and rich filters.

Seamlessly links cards with kanban boards to avoid data duplication; supports multi-level subtasks.

Daily Journal

Log daily events, work, and meetings without pressure. Connect entries to cards, tasks, and your Second Brain to uncover past context over time.

Second Brain

Turns cards, journals, whiteboards, and tasks into "neurons."

Connect neurons manually, or let AI surface hidden connections based on semantics, context, and timeline.

Optional AI Integration

Fully functional without AI. When enabled, bring your own compatible cloud AI or local models to assist with card organization, connection discovery, and content creation.

Cross-Platform Sync

Syncs across Android, Mac, and Windows via two-way Google sync. Preserves earlier versions during offline edit conflicts to prevent data loss.

Import, Backup & Export

Import: Supports Markdown, Plain text, HTML, PDF, DOCX, media files, web articles, and YouTube links.

Backup/Export: Full JSON backup/restore, Markdown + attachments ZIP export, and independent local/cloud data handling.

Long-Term Design

Clean interface supporting Light, Dark, System, and low-saturation "Ink" modes.

Available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.

Capture it first. The connections will emerge in time.
