BHIOS: Battery Monitor

Progressive loss of autonomy is a common process for all lithium-ion batteries. BHIOS is an electrical monitoring and charging assistance application designed to provide clear data on your device's charging and consumption without unrealistic promises of miraculous repair or regeneration.

DIRECT ELECTRICAL TELEMETRY FROM SENSORS
Using information provided by the Android system (BatteryManager API), BHIOS calculates and displays in real time:

• Instantaneous charging power in Watts (W).

• Input and output current in milliamperes (mA).

• Battery operating voltage in millivolts (mV).

• Device temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).

• Mathematical estimates of remaining charging time and autonomy in use.

PREVENTIVE ALERT OF THE 80/20 RULE
It is common knowledge that frequently keeping lithium batteries above 80% under high temperatures or below 20% accelerates the chemical wear of the cells. BHIOS helps prevent this stress through:

• Configurable audible and visual alerts when reaching 80% charge.

• Preventive discharge warnings when reaching 20%.

• Night protection mode with programmable schedules to avoid alarms during rest.

CABLE AND POWER SUPPLY DIAGNOSTICS
Quick 30-second test to evaluate charging behavior with the device connected:

• Calculation of average and peak power achieved in Watts.

• DC current stability score.

• Technical estimate of circuit resistance in milli-ohms (mΩ) and voltage drop (mV).

• Comparison of electrical flow efficiency profiles for monitoring the system.

DRAIN AND STANDBY PROCESS AUDIT
Analytical monitoring to understand where your battery charge goes:

• Night drain auditor (Standby Drain): calculation of the percentage loss rate per hour with the screen off.

• Detection of suspicious processes that keep the device active in the background.

• Detailed consumption audit per application based on system usage history.

LIFELIFE SIMULATOR AND TRENDS
Projections based on consolidated models of cyclic degradation and thermal stress:

• Mathematical estimation of time and cycles until the battery reaches 80% useful capacity retention.

• Simulation of alternative scenarios to compare the lifespan gain by adopting habits with less electrical stress.

• Approximate estimate of battery replacement cost for preventive planning.

CHARGE HISTORY AND CAPACITY ESTIMATE

• Detailed record of charging sessions with measurement of estimated gain in mAh.

• Monitoring of temperature variations and power supply curves over time.

• Export of historical reports for consultation.

HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
Monitor charge levels, temperature, power in Watts, and flow status directly on the home screen with optimized native widgets in 1x1, 2x1, and 3x3 formats, with customizable themes.

TRANSPARENCY AND PRIVACY
BHIOS makes no promises to increase battery life through software or alter physical hardware limits. The application provides accurate diagnostic tools for you to understand your device's electrical behavior and better manage your usage habits. History and preference data are stored locally on the device with symmetric encryption and can be purged by the user at any time.
