About ClimbCut: Climbing Camera

Your climb. Your story.

Film your next attempt, review your beta and turn the best moments into a video worth sharing. ClimbCut is a climbing camera and video editor for bouldering, lead climbing and board sessions — from your first move to your next send.

FILM YOUR SESSION
Open straight into the camera preview and start recording when you are ready. Record with sound, choose a framing guide and adjust supported camera controls. No sign-up required.

LET THE FRAME FOLLOW YOU
Filming with a tripod? Select the climber in a recorded video and use Follow mode to reframe around their movement. Review the tracking before exporting; other people and obstructions can affect the result.

CUT THE WAIT. KEEP THE CLIMB.
Trim the start and finish using thumbnail previews. Edit a recording from ClimbCut or open a video a friend filmed from your device gallery. Choose a cover to find it again in your library.

MAKE IT FIT YOUR FEED
Export in 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9. Fit the whole image or fill the frame for Reels, Shorts and other places you share your climbing.

KEEP YOUR GRADE IN THE PICTURE
Record bouldering, lead, Kilter Board and MoonBoard sessions. Choose V, YDS or French grades, or a tape color. Your selected grade automatically appears as a badge on the recording's library thumbnail. In the editor, move or resize the badge, choose a rounded rectangle, pill or text-only style, or turn it off. Hiding the badge does not remove the grade or stop grade filtering. Apply the badge to a separate exported clip while preserving your original.

FIND YOUR PAST ATTEMPTS
Browse your app library by date and filter by grade, discipline or result. Organize multiple videos together and keep track of the attempts that matter to you.

SHARE THE EDIT. KEEP THE ORIGINAL.
Export a separate MP4 without overwriting the original. Keep the audio or mute it, save the finished file, or open your device's share sheet to share it.

FILTERS AND TIMED CAPTIONS
Preview 40 filters and adjust their strength. Choose from 10 caption styles and set when and where your text appears.

CLIMB SUGGESTIONS, SPEED AND EDIT HISTORY
Find suggested start and end points for a climb, then review and adjust the trim yourself. Change speed across multiple segments and preview a selected segment. Your last 40 edit actions are saved so you can continue undoing and redoing after leaving the editor or reopening the app.

ENGLISH, KOREAN, JAPANESE AND INDONESIAN
Choose English, Korean, Japanese or Indonesian in your phone's language settings for ClimbCut. If no app language is selected, ClimbCut uses the current language provided by your operating system; unsupported languages use English.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS
New recordings require camera and microphone access. Camera controls, lenses, resolution and frame rate depend on your device. Camera framing guides do not crop the original; cropping and watermarks are applied when you export. Tracking may need correction, and zooming in reduces image quality. Library covers do not set thumbnails on other services.

Videos and records stay on your device. ClimbCut does not include its own cloud backup; save copies of videos you want to keep. Manage crash diagnostics and usage statistics in Settings. See the privacy policy for details.
