Family Home Recipes

Family Home Recipes is the app of familyhomerecipes.com: more than 1,900 home-cooking recipes – soups, main dishes, cakes, dinners and sides, each with ingredients and step-by-step instructions. The recipes come from the Slovak site domacerecepty.sk and are translated into English, with times and oven temperatures in °C and °F. They are on your phone even without internet, and new ones are added automatically.

What you'll find in the app
• Recipe of the day – one recipe every day for inspiration, as a notification around 5 pm if you like.
• What to cook today? A weekly lunch menu: soup and a main dish for every weekday, at the weekend also a cake – with shopping lists for weekdays and the weekend. Plus school snacks for the week and cook ahead: cook on Sunday, eat all week.
• My meal plan – plan breakfast, soup, lunch and dinner for the week, or start from a sample plan with 1,500, 1,800 or 2,000 kcal.
• Search by name or by the ingredients you have at home, with the filters Under 35 min, Light and Meatless.
• Change the number of servings and the ingredient amounts adjust automatically.
• Tick off what you already have and add the rest to your shopping list with one tap – also sorted by store section.
• Timers right from the instructions – tap a time in a step, such as "25 minutes". Several timers can run at once and alert you even when the app is closed.
• Cook mode – step by step in large type, the screen stays on, the ingredients are at hand, with voice control.
• Kitchen helpers: measure converter (cups, ounces, grams), pan converter, calorie calculator and a Christmas baking planner.
• Did you cook a recipe? Send a photo of your dish – after approval, other readers will see it too.
• Favorites without registration, a shopping list you can share, your own notes on recipes and a list of what you have cooked.
• Approximate nutrition facts calculated from the ingredients, and collections such as Light recipes, High-protein recipes and Christmas recipes.
• Star ratings, live photos, home screen widgets, printing and PDF, and dark mode.

No ads, account optional
The app has no ads and works without an account – favorites, the shopping list and settings stay on your phone. With a free account (just your e-mail, no password) your favorites, meal plan, shopping list and notes are the same on familyhomerecipes.com and on all your phones. A star rating is sent without any data about you, only when you rate a recipe.

The app is also available in Slovak, Czech and German – it follows your phone's language, or you can choose the language in Settings.
