Ondia - Diagnostic Wifi

Your Wi-Fi is slow in the bedroom but not in the living room. The video call cuts out for no reason. An app says "-78 dBm" and you don't know what to do.

Ondia answers in plain English, not jargon. Each measurement comes with its interpretation and the action to take.

WHAT ONDIA TELLS YOU

Wi-Fi — Networks within range, with signal quality described in words rather than decibels. Channel congestion, and which one to choose in your router's interface. And an alert that almost no one mentions: when your device remains connected to a distant access point while another, on the same network, gets a much better signal.

Coverage — A tour of your home, room by room. You name a room, walk through it for ten seconds, and Ondia takes a measurement. Once two or three rooms have been mapped, it categorizes and concludes: a repeater between these rooms, or a router to move, or nothing to change. It's the comparison between the rooms that identifies the problem.

Network — Your IP address, gateway, DNS servers, and your address as seen from the internet. Most importantly, a three-step diagnostic: Is your router responding? Is the internet responding? Are website names translating? When something isn't working, it tells you at which step it breaks—and therefore who to call.

Devices — An inventory of what's powered on on your network, with the name each device publishes.

WHAT'S FREE

Everything above. Three rooms measured, clear signal quality, congestion tips, and a complete diagnostic. It's a complete troubleshooting tool, not a demonstration.

WHAT'S PREMIUM

A one-time purchase, no subscription required. Signal measurement is extended from 30 seconds to every second—enough to pinpoint exactly where the signal weakens. Raw values are displayed: dBm, MAC addresses, and channel widths. There's no limit to the number of rooms measured. A signal curve and a complete report are also included.

PRIVACY

No account, no ads, no tracking. Only one request leaves your device: the one asking for your public IP address, because there's no other way to find it. Nothing else is transmitted, and nothing is stored anywhere except on your phone.

WHAT ONDIA DOESN'T DO

Let's be clear from the start. No speed test in this version. No MAC address of other devices on the network: Android has prohibited this since version 10, and no app can obtain it without root access—beware of those claiming otherwise.

The Wi-Fi scan requires location permission: Android classifies the list of neighboring networks as location data because their names can reveal your location. Ondia never records your location and never sends it anywhere.
