About Find the Pattern
1) Ability cultivation: children observe and analyze in the game, find the patterns and the arrangement of items to enhance their ability to sort out things according to the pattern.
2) Theoretical basis: the significance of pattern learning lies in the development of children's mathematic and logical thinking ability. Children need to use the existing knowledge to find the link among things, that is, the pattern. The importance of sorting is not correctness, but whether the children observe, think and make discovery. So in the process of playing the game, you can guide the children to use their thinking process through their own language.
3) Game objective: Find the Patterns contains the patterns of ABAB, AABAAB, ABCABC, ABCDABCD, ABCDBA (symmetry), AABBCCDD, etc., almost including all patterns that are required for the young children, so that children can learn about sorting by patterns through a game. The game is interesting and rich in changes, children need to observe different things each time to find the patterns of arrangement, so as to enhance their logical thinking ability.
4) Guide for parents: mom and dad can write down all the above patterns, and then select real things in life to use in game. For example: select several shapes of lovely candies and small fruits that the child likes and arrange them in accordance with ABAB, AABAAB ... ... then randomly take away 1 to 2 items, so that the child can complete the pattern!
