Dunarium: Moving Sand Art

Dunarium is a relaxing falling sand toy: a moving sand art picture powered by real gravity. Tilt your phone and thousands of grains pour through soft gel and rising bubbles. Shake it and a new landscape settles, with the calm of an hourglass and the playfulness of kinetic sand.

Your phone simulates every grain in real time. The pile in this falling sand simulator responds to each tilt, turn, shake, and touch. Stir the gel with a finger, split a dune, or watch your sandscape drift while you unwind.

LIVE WALLPAPER WITH REAL GRAVITY

• Set your moving sandscape as a sand live wallpaper in one tap
• Your phone runs the real falling sand simulation behind your icons, with live tilt gravity, in place of a looping video
• Twist two fingers on the home screen to turn the glass
• The wallpaper matches the palette, glass shape, and backdrop you chose in the app
• It animates on the lock screen too
• It pauses whenever the screen turns off, which keeps battery use low

RELAX, SLEEP, AND FOCUS

• Zen slows gravity to a calm drift
• Ambient dims the scene into a bedside view with a soft clock, a small ambient sand display for a desk or nightstand
• Sleep runs a wind-down timer that fades light and sound while you fall asleep
• Focus turns the glass into a sand hourglass, a visual timer that ends with a gentle chime
• Keep-awake mode lets the sand run as long as you want to watch

GENTLE ASMR SOUND

• A soft ASMR soundscape of ticks, bloops, and churns, generated live as the sand moves
• Mix the sand, bubble, churn, and ambient voices, or mute them all
• Subtle grain haptics let you feel the sand settle

MAKE YOUR OWN SAND PICTURE

• Pour through round, hourglass, heart, star, labyrinth, and more glasses
• Combine colorful sand palettes with clear or tinted gel
• Switch between dark, light, still, and animated backgrounds, or the live camera backdrop
• Turn a photo into sand with Portrait: it holds the image until you touch it
• Tune gravity, bubbles, grain size, glass, sound, and haptics

MADE TO BE SHARED

• Record oddly satisfying sand videos with your sound mix baked in
• Run a timelapse that packs minutes of slow drift into a short clip
• Add a caption in the share sheet and drag it anywhere
• Earn bonus palettes, glass shapes, and backdrops by sharing clips

KEEP IT NEARBY

• Leave the app and the sand keeps flowing in a floating mini window (picture-in-picture)
• Focus shows its countdown in the window, a quiet timer over whatever you are doing

WAYS PEOPLE USE IT

Use Dunarium as an antistress app, a satisfying falling sand game with no score, an ASMR game with real sound, a zen sand simulator, a digital hourglass, a calming sensory app, or a quiet fidget toy for stress relief. The sand moves when you move the phone and pauses when the screen turns off.
