About Shelfnook: Home Library

Shelfnook is a simple, fast inventory of the books you have at home. Scan the barcode on the back cover and the title, author, translator, publisher, edition year and page count are filled in automatically from Google Books and Open Library. When you save a book, pick the bookcase and shelf it sits on, so you never have to search shelf by shelf again.

If you like, share your library with friends: see who has which book, ask to borrow from each other, and keep track of who has borrowed which of your books.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Add by barcode: Point the camera at a book and the ISBN is read. You can also type the ISBN or search by title and author.
• For books that can't be found: For old or lesser-known editions, take a photo of the copyright page and the ISBN, publisher, translator and edition details are read from the photo. Or search the web by ISBN.
• Shelf-by-shelf location: Set up the bookcases (e.g. B1 · Study) and shelves in your home and see exactly where each book is: B1-S2.
• Friends: Find Shelfnook users in your contacts or share your invite code. Only friends you accept can see your library.
• Who has it? Search for a book and see which of your friends owns it.
• Borrowing: Ask a friend for a book; books you lend are marked "On loan" in your library and closed with one tap when they come back.
• Multiple copies, automatic categorisation, fast accent-insensitive search, moving books between shelves in bulk.
• Cover photo, reading status and personal notes.
• Backup and export: Download your library as a CSV spreadsheet or a full backup.
• On every device: Use the same account on your phone and computer (rafim.online) to reach the same library.

PRIVACY
Your library is visible only to you unless you share it; shelf locations, notes and reading status are never shared. Your contacts are compared only when you ask, as encrypted hashes on your phone, and are not stored. You can report inappropriate behaviour and block people. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time.

To use Shelfnook you need a free account, created with your email address.
